Eligibility: Pianists of all nationalities must be between 16 and 30 years as of May 19, 2011

Application Materials: Applicants should send a CD or DVD recording of a minimum of 20 minutes of solo playing (free repertoire choice), along with a non refundable $60 application fee (check or cash; wire transfer to a bank account is also possible), competition repertoire, an artistic biography, and the FCC application form to:

The recordings will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges. 12 competitors will be selected to travel to Fayetteville and compete. Those pianists will be informed of their selection by April 2nd. Housing, within-city travel, meals, and practice facilities will be provided. Each of the 12 semifinalists will perform a max. 60 minute solo recital. Three will be selected to advance to the final round, a performance of a concerto with the Artosphere Festival Orchestra (Corrado Rovaris, Music Director) under the baton of Guest Conductor David Hayes in the 2011 Artosphere Festival at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA.

All competitors who do not reach the finals will receive a $350 honorarium.

Preliminary: A CD or DVD recording of min. 20 minutes of your piano playing with repertoire of your choice; original compositions and printed piano transcriptions of all styles. If in doubt about the legitimacy of the repertoire, please contact the competition organization.
