Vladimir Khomyakov
Vladimir Khomyakov was born in 1984 in Kirovograd (USSR), in musicians' family. His father is one of the most outstanding Russian organists, mother is a piano teacher (both are graduates of Odessa State Conservatory).
Began his music studies at the age of four with his mother.
In 2000-2003 V.Khomyakov studied at the St.Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Music College and in 2003-2008 at the Conservatory, for all the time in the piano class of prof.Alexander Sandler.
At present - V.Khomyakov is an Artist-diploma student at the USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles, CA, USA), piano class of prof.Daniel Pollack, and a post-graduate student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, piano class of prof.Yuri Martynov.
In addition V.Khomyakov supplemented his studies in several Master Classes, including those of prof. Dmitry Bashkirov (Mozarteum Academy, Salzburg, Austria 2004), prof.Mikhail Voskresenskiy (Holland Music Sessions, Bergen, Holland 2006), prof.Daniel Pollack and prof.Lily Dorfman (International Summer Academy of Music, Michelstadt, Germany 2008), also with prof.Alexey Nasedkin, prof.Vladimir Ovchinnikov, prof.Vera Nosina and others.
V.Khomyakov is a Prizewinner of:

- Jose Iturbi International Piano Competition (Los Angeles, USA, 2009 - 4th Place, President's Prize, Audience Prize; 2010 - Audience Prize)
- Hilton Head International Piano Competition (Hilton Head Island, SC, USA 2010 - Medalist)
- "S.Torres Award" International Piano Competition (Fresno, CA, USA 2011 - I Prize)
For many years V.Khomyakov is a participant and grant-gifted student of "The New Names" International Foundation and "Anna Artobolevskaya" Foundation (Moscow, Russia), Fe Bland Foundation (Santa Barbara, USA).
Performing recitals in the United States, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy and Sweden as a solo-pianist and a chamber musician.
Has recordings on CD, DVD, radio and television.
