Anastasya Terenkova
Born in Moscow, Anastasya started taking classes of piano at the age of six entering the famous Moscow Gnessin's Special Music School for Gifted Children, The Alma Mater of such a musicians as Evgueni Kissin, Boris Berezovsky Alexander Kniazev.
At the age of eleven she gave her first solo recital.
In 2001, Anastasya entered the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris where she studied with Jacques Rouvier – Piano and Itamar Golan - Chamber Music.
Anastasya has participated in master-classes with Vladimir Krainev, Dmitri Bashkirov, Michail Voskresensky, Philippe Bianconi, Dominique Merlet, Aldo Ciccolini and Christophe Eschenbach.
Anastasya has performed solo and chamber music at such a venues as the Rachmaninoff and Malyi Halls of the Moscow State Conservatory; UNISA Grand Concert Hall, Pretoria, South Africa; Théatre Mogador, Salle Cortot, Auditorium de Louvre; Theatre des Champs Elysees, Paris France; Auditorium de Grenoble, France; the Aaronoff Center Cincinnati, USA and Mannes College of Music Concert Hall, New York, USA. She has been invited to the Saint Riquier Musical Festival, Les Rencontres Musicales en Artois Festival, "Musique entre nous" Festival, Annecy Festival, France and others.In February – March, 2005 she gave 10 solo recitals as part of her first North American Tour.
Anastasya is a laureate of the Georges Cziffra Music Foundation and a scholarship recipient of Tarazzi Foundation of Paris Conservatory (2003- 2005) Nadia et Lily Boulanger Foundation, Paris, France (2005) and the ADAMI Foundation, France (2006 -2007 and 2007-2008), Meyer Foundation, Paris, France (2010.)
Anastasya is a prize winner of various international piano competitions including Saint-Nom-la-Brétèche International Piano Competition, France 2000 (2nd Prize & Franz Liszt Performance Special Prize); Arcachon International Piano Competition, France 2002 (Special Prize for the best Maurice Ravel Interpretation); "Adilia Alieva" International Piano Competition, Gaillard, France 2002 (2nd Prize & Virtuosity Prize); Epinal International Piano Competition, France 2003; Cincinnati International World Piano Competition, Cincinnati, USA 2004 (2nd Prize); Dorothy MacKenzie Artist Recognition Award, New York, USA 2006 (1st Prize)
In September 2007, Anastasya was the 1st, unanimous entrant to the Famous Postgraduate Course "Perfectionnement" of Paris National Superior Conservatory, the piano class of Jacques Rouvier. She is the proud recipient of the "Bluthner" Piano from the Arnold Reinhold Foundation.
In November 2008 Anastasya made a critically acclaimed Paris debut recital in the famous Series at the Auditorium de Musee d'Orsay, performing a program of Chopin's Mazurkas and Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition".
In February 2009 Anastasya won the 2nd Prize in the "Vibrarte" International Music Competition in Paris and was featured in a documentary "Au Claire de la lune" on a France 2 National Television Channel.
Anastasya performed at Theatre des Champs Elysées, "Cathedral St Lous des Invalides", Auditorium de Musée d'Orsay, "Cité de la Musique", Auditorium de Musée du Louvre, Salle Cortot in Paris, at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia Spain, Sejong Performing Art Center , Seoul, Korea, "Bluthner" Piano Series in Leipzig, Germany, "King's Place Music Festival" in London, "Trestler" music Series in Montreal, Canada, Dinard Music Festival, Saint-Riquier Music Festival, Festival du Perigord Noir, Festival "Les Vacanses de Monsieur Haydn", Festival "Printemps des Arts de Monte –Carlo", "Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise", France and many others. In February 2011 Anastasya will be performing a series of concerts as a part of her chamber music tour in South Africa together with prize-winning cellist Georgi Anichenko.
In September 2009 she was the featured guest on Gaelle le Gallique famous classical music radio program "Dans la Cours des Grands" on "France Musique" Radio. In September 2009 Anastasya entered 1st, unanimous the prestigious new "Artist Diploma" Course at Paris National Superieur Concervatory and will continue to work with Jacque Rouvier. In December 2009 she recorded the 3rd Rachmaninov Concerto with "Orchestre des Laureats du Conservatoire". Most recently Anastasya became a Winner of the prestigious "Gawon" International Music Society Award 2010, Seoul, South Korea. During the autumn 2010 she recorded her Debut CD, including works by Scarlatti, Chopin and Mussorgsky. The most recently became Anastasya is a laureate of "GrandPiano" Prize 2011.
